You know what I think garlic bread is equivalent to in another genre of food? Cornbread! Whenever I eat a meal that is considered “soul food” or southern, I have to have a side of buttery cornbread or a warm biscuit. I consider Garlic Bread to be the Italian version of cornbread. Is that bad to say? I hope I am not being politcally incorrect here. I have always considered Italian food soul food in its own right. Its fiilling, its comforting, and it goes straight to your hips. Those three factors is the tri-fecta of comfort food. Oh! And its pretty inexpensive to make! I mean making a good pasta dish requires some good pasta sauce and pasta and some delicious herbs and seasonings; sprinkle with a little Parmesan Cheese, and make this garlic spread and serve over some bread and you got yourself a comfort food dish that will make you feel that you are basqing in the sun n Tuscan, Italy!
