The best thing about summer is Ice Cream. Don’t you agree?
From the time I was a kid, the one thing I looked forward to the most in the summer was the sound of an ice cream truck. There brings nothing more joy to a kid in the summer than the sound of an ice cream truck. When kids hear that song and notice a big colorful truck running through their neighborhood they run back into their house, ask their parents for spare change, and get the biggest and brightest ice cream treat they can afford. Some of the ones I can remember is the Bomb Pop, the infamous Ice Cream Sandwich, and Strawberry Shortcake. At least, those were a few of my favorites.
Taking this trip down memory lane is making me appreciate this blog post all the more. These Klondike Ice Cream Treats sends me back down that ole familiar road. This time I’m noticing the trees, the flowers, and the gorgeous blue sky in my midst. Why? Because of these new Klondike Ice Cream flavor bars. I think we are all familiar with the traditional chocolate covered vanilla squared ice cream. There are 12 different varieties of classic chocolatey coated ice cream treats. Some of those flavors are:
Cookie Dough Swirl
Salted Caramel & Pretzel
Reese’s PB Cup
Cookies and Cream
These are just to name a few.
I know what you are thinking. You are thinking the same thing I am thinking when I was given this opportunity, “When did Klondike step their game up?!” This is not the same Klondike that I remember. These flavors are incredible and super fun. The best one out of the bunch is the Cooke Dough Swirl. Oh yea. You heard me, the Cookie Dough Swirl! That is big for me to say because I am not a fan of cookie dough anything. Let me tell you an interesting story about how I came to dislike the Cookie Dough concept. When I was younger, my mom caught me eating raw cookie dough. I didn’t think there was anything wrong with it. I thought it was pretty amazing. Until my mom basically told me I was going to die for eating raw cookie dough. There was a concerned tone in her voice and that changed the entire way I looked at cookie dough. But Klondike has changed it back!
If you are wondering when Klondike released this line of variety bars, they came up with these bars back in 2014. Aside from the flavors I already mentioned, they also have flavors in Mint Fudge Cookie, Caramel & Peanuts, Fudge Crunch, and Cookies and Cream. These Klondike Bars are available in 6 packs and the Klondike Kandy Bars are available in 4 packs at your local grocery stores priced at $3.99.
