Description

This is a great dish for a barbecue and something both kids and adults will love. BBQ baked beans with bacon is easy to cook outdoors.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 21lb. Cans of Baked Beans
  • 1 small onion, diced
  • 3 garlic cloves, minced
  • 56 bacon slices, chopped
  • 1/4 c. light brown sugar
  • 1/4. C. BBQ Sauce
  • 1/2 tsp. Onion powder
  • 1/2 tsp. Garlic powder
  • 1/2 tsp. Smoked paprika
  • 1 tbsp. Hot sauce

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 350 Degrees. Spray a 9X11 baking dish with non-stick spray and set aside.
  2. Using a medium-sized saute skillet on medium-high heat, cook the bacon until crispy. Remove the bacon from the skillet and place it on a plate lined with a paper towel. Add the onions and cook until softened. Next, add the minced garlic and cook until fragrant.
  3. Pour the baked beans into the baking dish. Add the cooked bacon, onions, and garlic. Also, add the light brown sugar, BBQ sauce, onion and garlic powder, smoked paprika, and hot sauce. Stir the ingredients with the bean mixture in the dish until combined.
  4. Bake in the heated oven for 25-30 minutes, uncovered. Once cooked, remove from oven and cover with aluminum foil until ready to serve.
