Description

This Bourbon Brown Sugar Latte is made with a mixture of Bourbon, brown sugar, and cinnamon. This makes a wonderful latte perfect for any time of the day.


Ingredients

FOR THE SYRUP

  • 2 c. light brown sugar
  • 2 c. Bourbon/ Whiskey
  • 2 Cinnamon Sticks

FOR THE LATTE

  • 2 shots of Espresso
  • 1/2 c. milk, foamed
  • Garnish: Dash of Cincinnamon

 


Instructions

  1. Add the Bourbon, light brown sugar, and cinnamon sticks to the pot in a medium saucepan. Place on medium heat and bring to a simmer. Allow to simmer for 10 minutes, and remove from heat to completely cool. The syrup will thicken.
  2. Prepare the espresso using your coffee or manufacturer’s appliance instructions. Add the milk to your frother and froth according to your appliance instructions. 
  3. Pour the espresso into a coffee mug. Add about a tablespoon and a half of the brown sugar bourbon syrup to the latte, and add the frothed warm milk to the espresso and stir. Top with additional foam and a sprinkle of cinnamon, and serve.
