Ingredients

Scale
  • Krusteaz Belgian Waffle Mix (or you can make your own from scratch): if you use the mix add a tsp of vanilla extract and 1 tsp of maple extract
  • 24 oz. chicken breast
  • Flour for dusting
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • Vegetable oil for frying the chicken
  • 1/3 c. hot sauce
  • 1/8 c. brown sugar, packed
  • ¼ c. honey
  • ¼ tsp. Red pepper

Instructions

  1. In a medium sauté pan, pour in the vegetable oil filling the pan half way. Season the chicken with the salt and pepper as well as the flour. Take the pieces of chicken, dust them in flour, and then place the chicken in the oil. Cook for 7 minutes on each side or until done. When the chicken. Plug in your waffle machine and allow to heat.
  2. Prepare your waffle mix as directed. Be sure to add the extracts to the mix either way. Pour the mix in the waffle maker and allow cooking until finished. Once the waffle is finished, layer the waffle like a sandwich. If your waffle maker makes the waffle in fourths, use only 2 fourths of the waffle. You do not have to eat this as a sandwich; however you choose, pour syrup over top and enjoy! is finished, dip the chicken in the sauce several times.
