Here is a Classic Mashed Potatoes recipe and adding plain yogurt will make your potatoes rich and creamy.
- 8 medium Russet Potatoes
- 1 stick unsalted butter, room temperature
- 1 c. whole milk
- 1/3 c. Stonyfield Plain Yogurt
- 1/2 tsp. Garlic Powder
- 1/2 tsp. Onion Powder
- salt and pepper to taste
- chives as garnish
- Peel the potatoes and cut into large chunks. Place the potato chunks in a large pot and cover with water. Boil the potatoes for 25-30 minutes or until fork tender.
- Drain the water from the pot leaving the potatoes inside. Use a potato masher and mash the potatoes quite fine. Add the butter and stir into the potatoes. Add the milk, yogurt, garlic powder, onion powder, and season with salt and pepper to taste and serve!
