Here is a guilty pleasure treat from “Sweet Julia” turned up a knotch by dding moist pound cake!
- 1/2 c. heavy cream
- 1 c. white chocolate chips
- 1 1/2 tsp. Amaretto
- 2 c. slightly frozen berries (strawberries, cherries, mixed berries)
- 2–4 slices pound cake
- 2 tbsp. sliced almonds
- Mint leaves for garnish
- In a small sauce pan, pour in the heavy cream and turn on medium heat. Place the white chocolate chips in a small bowl. Once the cream has reached a bowl, pour on top of white chocolate chips. Stir until white chocolate has dissolved and add Amaretto and stir.
- Using two plates, place 2-4 pieces of pound cake on the plates. Place the frozen berries on top. Pour the warm white chocolate sauce on top of the berries and cake. Sprinkle with almonds and garnish with mint leaves.
