Description

Discover how to create a spooktacular Halloween Ice Cream Cake that will bewitch your taste buds and haunt your dessert dreams – a chilling delight for your Halloween festivities.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 Box Devil’s Chocolate Mix (Including the required ingredients: egg, water, and vegetable oil)
  • 1 quart Vanilla Ice Cream
  • 13 oz. Oreo, crushed and divided
  • 16 oz. Chocolate Frosting
  • Garnish: Halloween-themed sprinkles, cupcake toppers, Halloween Marshmallow Peeps

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 350 Degrees. Spray a 9X13 cake pan with baking spray and set aside.
  2. In a large mixing bowl, combine the chocolate mix, eggs, water, and oil and mix until smooth with a handheld mixer or whisk. Pour into the baking dish and bake according to the baking instructions 30-35 minutes. Once finished baking, allow to cool completely. You can also place in the refrigerator until completely cooled, at least 1 hour.
  3. Carefully remove the cake from the baking dish intact. Use a serrated knife and carefully split the cake in half. Place the bottom half of the cake back in the baking dish.
  4. Remove the ice cream from the freezer. Cut open the ice cream carton and quickly cut the ice cream in slices. Place the ice cream slices on top the bottom part of the cake. Use the back of a spoon and smooth out the ice cream to become one even layer.
  5. Sprinkle half of the crushed Oreo’s or desired candies on top of the ice cream layer. Pat into the ice cream. Place the top layer of the cake onto the ice cream layer.
  6. Spread the frosting on the top layer evenly. Sprinkle with the remaining crushed Oreos and Halloween sprinkles. Decorate as desired with cupcake toppers and Halloween-themed Marshmallow Peeps. Place back in the freezer for at least 1 hour before serving.
