Ingredients

Scale
  • FOR THE BASE:
  • 2 cups Flour
  • 1¼ teaspoon Baking Powder
  • ½ teaspoons Salt
  • ¾ cups Unsalted Butter, Softened
  • 1¼ cup Sugar
  • ½ cups Brown Sugar, Packed
  • 3 whole Eggs
  • 1 teaspoon Vanilla Extract
  • FOR THE CINNAMON FILLING:
  • 1 Tablespoon Cinnamon
  • 1 Tablespoon Sugar
  • FOR THE GLAZE:
  • 1 cup Powdered Sugar
  • 2 Tablespoons Milk
  • ¼ teaspoons Vanilla Extract

Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 350 F and spray a 9×13 inch square pan with baking spray and set aside.
  2. In a small bowl combine the dry ingredients (flour, baking powder, and salt) and set aside.
  3. In a separate larger bowl, cream the butter with a handheld mixer then add both sugars and mix until light and fluffy. One at a time beat in the eggs and the vanilla extract. Slowly add the dry ingredients to the wet mixture and mix until well blended.
  4. Spoon half of the batter into the pan and spread evenly with the back of a spoon. Combine the cinnamon filling ingredients in a small bowl. Sprinkle the cinnamon and sugar filling on top of the base. With the remaining batter place dollops over the cinnamon sugar filling. No need to spread. Bake for 20-25 minutes. Then remove the dish from the oven and allow to cool before applying the drizzle.
  5. In a small bowl, whisk together the powdered sugar, milk and vanilla extract. Drizzle over the bars and serve.
