Do something different to your Pumpkin Pie this year. Try this Streusel Pumpkin Pie Recipe that will give Pumpkin a brand new meaning!


Ingredients

  • 15 oz. Can Pumpkin Puree
  • 2 eggs, beaten
  • ¾ c. sugar
  • ¾ tsp. Salt
  • 1 ½ tsp. Pumpkin spice
  • 15 oz. can evaporated milk
  • 2 tsp. Vanilla extract
  • 9 inch Deep Dish Pie Crust
  • Streusel Topping:
  • 8 tbsp. Butter
  • 1 ½ c. flour
  • ½ c. light brown sugar
  • ¼ tsp. Salt
  • 1 tsp. Cinnamon
  • ¼ c. pecan pieces

Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 350 Degrees.
  2. In a large bowl, add the pumpkin puree, eggs, sugar, salt, pumpkin spice, and mix. Slowly pour in the evaporated milk and add the vanilla extract. Pour the filling in the pie crust.
  3. To make streusel, melt the butter in a medium sauce pan. Once melted, add the flour, brown sugar, salt, cinnamon, and pecan pieces. Use a fork to mix together The mixture will begin to look like coarse round crumbs. Sprinkle the streusel topping on top of the pumpkin pie mixture evenly. Place aluminum foil strips around the crust to avoid burnt edges.
  4. Place the pie on a baking sheet and bake on middle rack for 45 minutes to an hour. Allow to cool and serve with whipped cream or ice cream.
