Ingredients

Scale
  • 12 chicken tenders
  • ½ c. flour
  • 3 eggs
  • 1 2/3 c. panko bread crumbs
  • ¼ c. light corn syrup
  • ½ c. honey
  • 1 chipotle pepper, chopped
  • 1 ½ tbsp. chipotle sauce
  • ¼ c. BBQ Sauce
  • 1 tbsp. Worcestershire Sauce
  • ½ tsp. garlic powder
  • ½ tsp. salt
  • ½ tsp. smoked paprika
  • salt and pepper, to taste

Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 400 Degrees. Place a cooling rack on top of a baking sheet and spray liberally with non-stick spray.
  2. Season the chicken tenders with salt and pepper on both sides.
  3. Separate the flour, eggs, and breadcrumbs in individual bowls. Whisk the eggs until the yolks and whites are well combined.
  4. Dredge the chicken tenders in the flour on both sides to make sure they are evenly coated, dip in the eggs, and coat in the panko bread crumbs. Place on the cooling rack placed on top of the baking sheet. Bake the chicken tenders for 25 minutes, until golden brown.
  5. Meanwhile, place all the ingredients for the sauce in a medium sauce pan (i.e. corn syrup, honey, chipotle pepper, chipotle sauce, BBQ sauce, Worcestershire Sauce, garlic powder, salt, and smoked paprika). Whisk together on low. Once the chicken tenders are finished, dip into the sauce Each chicken tender should be able to get a double dipping of sauce. Place bake in the oven for 5 minutes and serve.
