Description

Make this quick and easy Japanese-Style Homemade Hibachi Chicken Recipe that can be made in less than 30 minutes! This recipe includes a 5-Minute Yum Yum Sauce recipe!

Ingredients

Scale
  • 2 tbsp. Olive oil
  • 3 Chicken Breast, diced
  • 1 tsp. Salt
  • 1 tsp. Black pepper
  • ½ tsp. Onion powder
  • ½ tsp. Garlic powder
  • 16 oz. Frozen Stir Fry Vegetables
  • 2 garlic cloves, minced
  • 16 oz. Microwaveable Stir Fry Rice or my 15-Minute Stir Fry Rice Recipe
  • 1 ½ tsp. Soy sauce
  • 1 ¼ c. mayo
  • 2 tsp. Apple cider vinegar
  • ½ tsp. Onion powder
  • ½ tsp Garlic powder
  • ½ tsp. Smoked paprika
  • 2 tsp. Ketchup or tomato paste
  • ⅛ tsp. Red pepper

Instructions

  1. Using a large shallow pan, on medium heat, add the olive oil. Add the salt, pepper, and onion, and garlic powder and stir. Once heated, add the diced chicken and cook until cooked through about 10-15 minutes. Turn heat down to low.
  2. Using a separate large skillet, on medium heat, add another tablespoon of olive oil, and once heated, add the frozen stir fry vegetables. Cook for about 5-7 minutes until heated and cooked through.
  3. Whichever direction you decide to take with the rice, once it is heated through, add the soy sauce to the rice and toss using a fork. I know soy sauce is saltier to some than others, so start off with a ½ teaspoon at a time until you get to a flavor level you’re comfortable with.
  4. To make the sauce, in a small bowl, add the mayo, apple cider vinegar, onion and garlic powder, smoked paprika, ketchup/ tomato paste, and red pepper. Whisk together and set aside.
  5. On a plate, add about a half cup of the cooked chicken, cooked rice, and vegetables. Serve sauce on the side.
