Now that Christmas is over, let’s get ready to bring in the New Year with these Sweet and Spicy Crockpot Meatballs.
These Sweet and Spicy Crockpot Meatballs are the perfect appetizer to bring in the New Year!
I hope you had a nice and amazing Christmas! I sure did. It was pretty awesome having this Christmas holiday to share with my new baby (who is boring right now at this stage in his life) and my husband. We visited our families on Christmas Eve and spent Christmas Day lounging around in our PJ’s and watching the many football and basketball games. Although it was a nice holiday to “chill-lax” later on that evening, we started to wonder what in the world will we do on New Year’s Eve with a newborn baby?! Quickly after we asked the question we immediately knew the answer…not a thang! Not much you can do with a newborn baby especially when you know the availability of babysitters that day is slim to none and most of your family has plans already. So we decided to have a small New Year’s party, on a limited budget, for ourselves and anyone else who would like to visit.
I know we are not the only ones in this position. The position I am referring to is partying on a budget! Not everyone can attend or have a big fancy New Year’s party. Therefore, you have to make due with what you have and make things as easy as possible. That is where your crockpot and Farm Rich’s Meatballs will come into play.
Farm Rich is a brand that I have used for many years (especially while I was in college). Farm Rich has an entire line of easy and delicious snacks from Chicken Bites, Meatballs, Cheese Sticks, and even French Toast Sticks and Scones for breakfast! With all the great products Farm Rich offers, we are going to focus on Farm Rich’s Meatballs today. During a potluck I attended some time ago , I had some of the most amazing meatballs that had a surprising ingredient. Grape Jelly! Have you ever heard of this?! Aww man, they were so good and simple. All you do is mix grape jelly and chili paste together for the sweet and spicy effect and you have some delicious meatballs. Oh and did I mention that all you have to do is throw your Meatballs in your crockpot with the sauce? This is the easiest thing in the world and it is perfect for any party for New Years, other holidays, and football season! But for the sake of Slow Cooking Month, which is the entire month of January, we are going to start it off right with these Sweet and Spicy Crockpot Meatballs.
