Donuts are going to be the death of me.
Sometimes I resent the fact that I love donuts, fritters, or any sort of fried pastry. I didn’t ask for this curse it is just how I was made. I can only resist them for so long until I smell the sweet smell of flour, sugar, and donut glaze in the air. When I was younger and when my mom didn’t know any better, about once a month she would go to my favorite donut shop in Dayton called the Donut Palace and buy about a dozen donuts. She would get all types. She would get some glazed, cake, some with sprinkles, and all with different flavors. In fact, I am willing to say that my mom is the blame for all of this. She is the blame for giving me the curse of loving donuts so much. Yep. That is my story and I am sticking to.
But, Pillsbury hasn’t made this curse of mine any easier to avoid. Why? Because their products makes it so easy for me to make donuts, pastries, and fritters quick, fast, and in a hurry. I promise that once you make these you will understand my dilemma. Hopefully, your willpower to stay away from these Apple Fritters are better than mine. Yea, pretty much it is non-existent. When I made them I remember eating about 3 of them but not even realizing it. My husband had to stop me to make me realize what I was doing. “NICOLE! WHAT THE HECK ARE YOU DOING?”, he said. I looked at him as if he were crazy and began to wonder what the heck he was talking about. Not realizing that I had just ate three homemade Apple Fritters. Needless to say, I had to really put in for a really intense workout to make up for my inability to just say “no”.
This recipe is quite simple. All you need is one large Granny Smith Apple and one tube of Pillsbury Grand’s Biscuits and you’re pretty much in the money. The rest of the ingredients such as cinnamon, sugar, and oil, I am sure you have at home. Therefore, this should make for an easy meal preparation. All you need to do is fill a biscuit with freshly cut apple that has been coated with cinnamon and sugar, seal the biscuit, and fry the dough. If that isn’t enough for you then just add the glaze over. I mean….COME ON! How can you not get excited about that?! I’m excited just thinking about it. Aren’t you?

For more decadence, use Apple Pie Filling instead of diced apples.
