Well, fall is upon us…
And I am so excited! I am excited to wear boots, pea coats, and watch the leaves change colors. That is my favorite part, you know? The leaves changing colors. I promise I can sit on top of a mountain for hours and just stare at the beautiful view of the different colors and hues of the leaves on the trees. It is nostalgia to me. Staring at beautiful things brings me much joy and makes me seem like a weirdo. Has that happened to you before? You see something so beautiful and gorgeous and you can’t stop looking at it? You wonder how something so breath-taking could ever exist. Your mind and heart begins to get filled with such wonder of its beauty. That is how I feel about scenic views.
The picture above was taken in Gatlinburg around sunrise. I couldn’t wait every morning to wake up to stare off and watch the sun come up above the mountains. There was also a subtle mist above the mountains that made the view even more breath-taking. This picture actually doesn’t do the view justice . It was amazing. I can only imagine what it looks like during the fall when the leaves are changing. Oh my! It would be eye candy for real! How I feel about scenic views is how I feel about food. I love looking at pictures of food. Not because I secretly wouldn’t mind eating everything in sight, but it is because food is beautiful. Food is art to me.
For instance, what does this photo say to you? I know what it says to me. It says “Eat Me”. But seriously, doesn’t it look gorgeous! I love when I take photos when I have to do little to know editing because the food itself is so pretty. I am not being boisterous or anything like that. The food gets all the credit. All I did was create the dish. But I love works of art no matter the subject. Sometimes I see pictures of food that is gorgeous that I won’t even make the dish or even want to eat is because I worry that I will compromise the integrity of the dish. Have you ever seen food pictures like that? Maybe because I am a food blogger, but I see them all the time. I hope that when you see my pictures that it ignites all of your emotions but more than anything, I hope when you look at my pictures you vision the dish at your dinner table and it brings you much comfort and joy!
