I would like to introduce to you some food blogger buddies of mine…
A little while ago, Martha Stewart wrote a response that basically reduced the impact that food bloggers have by suggesting that our food isn’t of some sort of culinary or cooking standard because we aren’t “experts”. She also insisted the food bloggers blog for popularity and our recipes aren’t tested. Well….we aren’t professional experts…duh. Although we may have grown to be experts in different areas of running a successful blog, the one thing that we all have in common and where we are indeed experts is sharing love. Us food bloggers blog to share love. We love food and we love sharing our food with you! Don’t get me wrong, I love me some Martha. Heck, I even watch her cooking class videos online from time-to-time. I have even made some of her recipes! Love her. However, this blog post is to share with you more love from food bloggers I love, food that I have tried at home, and have tested. These are food bloggers that I follow religiously and stalk at every chance I am given. I am such a fan of these blogs and I want you to know that they may not have Martha’s seal of approval, but they do have mine! These are just a few food bloggers recipes that I’ve tried.
Blog: Pinch Of Yum
Recipe(s) Tried: Creamy Cauliflower Sauce & Sticky Garlic Chicken and Broccoli
Why I am such a fan of this blog: I fell in love with Pinch of Yum when I first began blogging. I am a regular stalker of POY. Not only does Lindsay share delicious recipes but her husband, Bjork, shares tips on how they grow their blog and they share a monthly blog income report that gives me and other bloggers hope of what could be. This team food blog match up has also started an awesome forum for food bloggers called Food Blogger Pro where you can connect with other bloggers and learn best practices. I love the Ostrom crew and greatly appreciate their contribution to the food blogging world!

Recipe(s) Tried: Real Deal Caramel Cake
Why am I such a fan of this blog: First let me say, in the blog world, Jocelyn and I go way back. I remember Jocelyn from back in 2012 when she reached out to me asking me for an interview. She was just starting her blog and I was only about 6 months into mine and I remember her asking me about my pictures and we just starting sharing tips back and forth. I got the chance to meet Jocelyn last year at the 2014 BlogHer Conference in Miami. Since then, Jocelyn has been doing super well. She is releasing her first book this fall, which I will be purchasing, and she has been featured Better Homes and Garden. Oh did I forget to mention that Carla Hall from “The Chew” wrote the foreword of Jocelyn’s book?!

Blog: Bakingdom
Website: http://bakingdom.com
Recipe(s) I’ve Tried: Homemade Honey Oat Bread, Vegan Chicken and Dumplings, and Smore’s Brownies
Darla had me at hello! Darla and one of my close friends actually went to high school together. When I first started this blog thing, my friend told me about her friend Darla and decided to show her blog to me. Bakingdom was the very first blog I’ve seen. If you have ever seen this blog you can imagine what went through my mind. The photos! Her photos ae amazing. I went onto Darla’s blog every day. I couldn’t believe that food blogging was a “thing”. Darla’s blog was the gatekeeper to showing me that food blogging could actually happen. I have tried a few of Darla’s recipes in the process.
Blog: Bakers Royale
Website: http://www.bakersroyale.com/
Recipe(s) I’ve Tried: Oreo Cookies and No Bake Cheesecake and Rolo Cheesecake Bars
I feel in love with this blogger because of her pictures. Shortly thereafter, I feel in love with her recipes. Namoi has been blogger for a while. I love everything from her food styling, her use of light, to the props she uses in her photos. I know most of you don’t really care about that as long as the pictures look good, but to someone who is constantly trying to develop their food photo skills, it is a treat to check out her pictures.
Blog: Creole Contessa
Website: http://creolecontessa.com/
Recipes I’ve tried: Shrimp Fried Rice
Hunny, let me tell you about this food blog. Oh-my-goodness. I don’t even know what to say about this woman. All I can say is that I am glad I do not live close to her because I would not be able to get in my wedding dress. I love this woman’s food. This Creole Contessa makes rich, delicious, and comforting foods with a Louisiana southern flare. I have made a few of her dishes and they are amazing. Heck, just looking at her photos will make anyone hungry. You must check her blog out, especially if you are looking for a good southern meal.
