Don’t you just want to make some tea and curl up and read a book? I do.
Okay, so, a couple of years ago, when my now fiance and I began dating, I started getting into loose leaf tea. In fact, I had my first encounter with Teavana. Oh my Teavana. How I love thee? Anyway, I was trying to convert my fiance to become more of a tea drinker. You see, he is a heavy coffee drinker. Although there is nothing wrong with coffee, I feel that too much caffeinated coffee isn’t good for anyone. I could be biased because I am a tea drinker. Anyway, when my fiance and I started dating he was really into Chai tea, so we decided to go to Teavana to try their teas. Teavana here in Cincinnati, OH is located in the Kenwood Mall on the upper level. I tell you, as soon as you rise to the top of escalator to go to the upper level you immediately smell herbs and delicious aromas and it all comes from the Teavana store. I was amazed the first time I went there. I never really experienced loose leaf tea before. I definitely didn’t have any idea as to how strong and potent the flavor of loose leaf tea would be. What surprised me the most is how many times you can reuse the loose tea. The most times I remember steeping my tea from Teavana was about 3-4 times and each time was as good as the last. I mean its good stuff and I highly recommend that you give Teavana a shot, especially if you are tea drinker. In fact, I am going to tell you about two teas that I just tried that is perfect for the fall.
I was given the opportunity to try Teavana’s seasonal teas in the flavor of Pumpkin Spice Brulee and Spiced Apple Cider, which has returned for another autumn season. Let me simply say, “WOW”! First the tea was so fragrant that the entire room smelled exactly like the tea. No kidding. So much so that I couldn’t smell the plug in that I have. Also look at the tea. Look at the bits of goodness that have been dried to give your tea the benefits of each herb and all the flavor. How gorgeous is that?! These teas are perfect for fall and can take you away to the hills of the Rocky Mountains while you sit outside and view the beauty of the autumn hues that appear on the trees. Man, I really want to go to Gatlinburg all of a sudden. Anyway, let’s start with the Pumpkin Spice Brulee. Oh-me Oh-my! The Pumpkin Spice Brulee tea is a wonderful combination of pumpkin, caramel, butterscotch, and vanilla. In fact, I didn’t have to add any sweetener. It was full of flavor and warmth. Not kidding, one of the best tea flavors I’ve had in a long time. You can buy Pumpkin Spice Brulee at Teavana for $12.98 for 2oz.
The Spiced Apple Cider tea is just as amazing, warm, and comforting. This tea you can see the actual dried chunks of apples and chicory. You DEFINITELY can taste the rich flavors of apple, cinnamon, chickory, and sweet carob. This tea is the perfect compliment to any apple cider dessert treat that you can think of. Such as apple muffins, apple bread, banana bread, or even apple cider donuts. Yum. You can buy the Spiced Apple Cider tea at Teavana for $8.98 for 2oz.
Now, what would be the best addition to a warm cup of tea? Tea cookies of course! I thought I’d make some tea cookies, which are my favorite, that will compliment the teas very well. Therefore, I made buttery shortbread cookies with a spicy glaze made of cinnamon and all spice. They are perfect with these teas! I am telling you, with these teas and Spiced Tea Cookies this makes for a perfect “selfie date” with yourself. Watch some of your favorite episodes on your DVR or TIVO, or you can get to that book that you have been dying to get to . Whatever the occasion you have to try Teavana’s Pumpkin Spice Brulee or Spiced Apple Cider Tea. You can also serve these to guests or package these teas along with a Tea Infuser for a Christmas gift. In fact, the first Christmas I spent with my fiance I bought him some loose leaf tea from Teavana and he loved it!
