I remember when I was younger and I would see my step dad or my mom eat a bacon sandwich with mayo, cheese, and mustard. I thought that it was the most disguising thing in the world. I saw them eat these sandwiches on many occasions and felt that they were going to take a bite one day and die instantly from all the salt and fat. You see, when I was younger I didn’t like pork, naturally. I thought it was too salty and I don’t really care too much for salty foods (except pickles). As you grow up, your thoughts on food and your taste buds change. Things you didn’t normally like, you love. Things that you thought weren’t sweet enough, is too sweet. Sandwiches you thought were an instant way to cardiac arrest, you begin to enjoy.
So yes, I enjoy a BLT sandwich now and then. Of course I would eat it with turkey bacon. However, because I know most of you are swine eaters, I made a delicious B.L.T. sandwich that you will absolutely love. I took two pieces of that rich and buttery brioche bread that I made and toasted the bread on both sides, add my bacon, lettuce, and tomato, of course; but I also add a few slices of avocado and caramelized onions. A-MA-ZING! This is a must try on a Saturday afternoon when you are watching your favorite sport or a terrible manly movie like Zoolander, and have a wonderful time with yourself.
