I have been super busy with life and now I have a moment to sit down, enjoy a cup of coffee, and tell you all about my life and what’s’ coming up!
(Deep Sigh) Hi guys! I have been super crazy with life, you wouldn’t believe. All for good reason. The biggest thing that has had me busy is my husband and I bought a house!
Yep! I am officially a homeowner!
Nevertheless, I have my blog and all of you to vent and discuss things with to keep me sane. Now that we have moved in, somewhat unpacked, we now are having the conversation about Thanksgiving plans, which is next week. Uggh! Just when I sit down and breathe, something else comes up. Other things we have coming up is all of the Christmas activities that I insist we do every year. I am definitely a traditionalist when it comes to the holidays. I just love doing things while I’m sipping on some hot chocolate, eating some of the best Christmas Cookies, and going to annual Christmas events like this one that takes place here in Cincinnati. What makes all of this even more fun and exciting, is I have my son whom I can enjoy these things with. Although he is two, he is at the age where he finally notices things and reacts to Christmas lights and stuff like that. Here are some of the activities I have planned for our family:
- Festival of Lights at the Cincinnati Zoo
- Winterfest at Kings Island
- Cookie decorating with mommy
- Light up Liberty at the Liberty Towne Center
- Pancakes with Santa Clause
Yep, we are going to be busy.
Because we bought a house the question has been raised if we were going to host Thanksgiving dinner here. We finally have the space to do it if we wanted to. However, the answer is going to be “no” for this year. The reason being is because we need more furniture in the house. We have bare walls, furniture up stairs and an empty finished basement. So we need some time to build our house up and get it exactly how we want it before we host a bunch of people. Nevertheless, I will be cooking for my immediate family and…Calvin.
