I am loving me some healthy Skoop!
A healthy Skoop everyday will keep the sickies away.
You know how they say when you’re pregnant your tastebuds change? Well mine has changed and it is very obvious. So far what I’ve noticed is that I don’t really do well with lunch meat. I started off fine with but now it is starting to taste slimy and weird; I’ve always liked fruit but now fruit tastes like “Earth candy” to me, which is a good thing; and vegetable, particularly green vegetables, you can forget about it! Vegetables tastes super icky to me, which is obvious because I don’t really mind them. In fact, I feel very good and energized after eating a good serving of vegetables, but lately broccoli tastes like bleach and spinach tastes like mashed green leaves with no flavor. Yea man, I am struggling with the vegetables. However, I know that I need the nutrients and the fiber.
Okay, I’m going to try my best to be healthier than normal and just as active during this pregnancy. I’ve been sooooo sleepy and sick feeling that I haven’t worked out in about 2 months. I’m going to try to fight through all of this and get back in order starting with kale chips and drinking this healthy…drink(yum?) by @gardenofliferaw to stay healthy. Feel free to share tips with me! #healthymom #healthy #healthylifestyle #healthypregnancy #preggo #instadaily #instababy #instame #preggers #pregnant #healthyfood
So I drink this nasty concoction of super greens that tastes like grass. Although it is really gross, drinking it takes a lot less time than sitting at the dining room table eating broccoli. I have also went to the health food store and purchased two vitamin supplements that takes the nutrients from a vegetable and compact them into a pill. I take those every day. Now I know a lot of you “healthy bugs” out there are saying that I still need to eat veggies for the fiber and other nutritional value. But the fact of the matter is….I’m struggling ya’ll. I mean salads are okay but you get sick of those after a while and I still try to incorporate them in my meals but it gets hard after a while. Hence, I need all the “cheats” I can get to get those nutrients in my body for me and my baby. And the Lord said, “Ask and you shall receive”.
I was introduced to Skoop through my partnership with Stonyfield and I never heard of the brand or its products until that introduction. I am so glad that I had the opportunity to try this product because I absolutely LOVE this product! Healthy Skoop is a company that makes plant-based nutritional powders for your drinks and other recipes that will give your body a myriad of healthy benefits including servings of fruits and vegetables, pre and probiotics, Omega 3’s, organic proteins, and most of your daily recommended vitamins and minerals.
I was fortunate enough to try the Super healthy Skoop All-in-One Nutritional Shake that has many of these nutritional values and more.
Not to mention, it is certified organic, gluten-free, soy free, whey free, Non-GMO, and dairy free, which is an extra benefit to me as I am lactose intolerant. I love this along with other plant-based products and they make me feel incredible and full of energy. I highly recommend that you use this in combination with Stonyfield yogurt or other products. You can make a delicious Health Chocolate Milkshake like me! I created a healthy cheat by adding Stonyfield frozen yogurt to the healthy Skoop for a healthy cheat. You can totally do the same thing!
- ½ pint Stonyfield Chocolate Frozen Yogurt
- 1 scoop of healthy Skoop
- 1 c. almond or soy milk
- In a blender, mix together Stonyfield's Chocolate Frozen Yogurt, healthy Skoop, and your choice of milk. Pulse until smooth and serve!
