My Favorite Recipes Using Cake Mix

The first time my husband saw me bake a recipe using cake mix he was seriously shocked. He was so shocked he called me a “fraud”! “How are you going to be a food blogger and you use cake mixes from a box to make your desserts?”, he said. “Because no one has time to make everything from scratch!”, I replied. That is exactly why I am always trying to find new and exciting ways to repurposes cake mixes. Listen, cake mixes are a great option for those who want to bake something awesome but may not have the confidence to make a cake from scratch. When I started baking I used nothing but cake mixes. I was so nervous about making a cake from scratch. The thought alone would make me freak-out. Then I made my first cake from scratch and I realized I had nothing to be afraid of. As I have grown in my baking abilities and scoped the foodie scene, I have learned that most foodie greats have recipes using cake mixes! Let’s take the Pioneer Woman for example. She has an awesome dump cake that she made using cake mix as the topping. In fact, she has an entire blog post on how to elevate cake mix. Even one of my new favorite recipe creators, Trisha Yearwood, has made Strawberry Cupcakes using cake mix! You see if people on TV use cake mixes. So you don’t have to feel the pressure of baking from scratch all-the-time.

My job as one of your favorite food bloggers is to take the complicated out of making yummy food. When you are looking for my recipes on my blog, there are a few things I want you to say when you are looking for my recipes. Those things are:
