You know it’s Christmas time when you see holiday M&M’s in cookies! These Chocolate Chip Cookies stays soft and chewy for days!
Okay, I am somewhat of a Chocolate Chip Cookie Connoisseur. Yeah, I’m somewhat of a HUGE Chocolate Chip Cookie critic. I must’ve had thousands of Chocolate Chip Cookies in my life. No, seriously…THOUSANDS. In addition, I must’ve made homemade Chocolate Chip Cookies close to a hundred times, maybe more. Each time I make my cookies, I try something different. For instance, I try different measurements of butter, different amounts of sugars, baking times and heat, and even methods. It is one of my ultimate goals in life is to make the absolute perfect Chocolate Chip Cookie in the WORLD. No, I am not being overzealous. Okay, maybe I am being a bit overzealous, but if I figure out how to make the best Chocolate Chip Cookie in the WORLD, you are going to be happy because I am definitely going to share the recipe with you guys too. Right after I patent my recipe and get millions of dollars after I sell it, then I’ll share it with you guys. No matter what, you will have it.
I think I am on the brink of cracking the code for making the best Chocolate Chip Cookies. The technique that I used to make these cookies kind of happened on an accident. Kind of like the infamous Chocolate Chip Cookie itself. So when I went to make a batch of cookies, my butter was a little more than soft. It was just about melted. So, I decided to melt the butter completely. I was super nervous about it because I didn’t want to waste any money or baking ingredients. After I melted the butter, I proceeded to add the rest of the ingredients. I noticed after I add the all of the ingredients, my cookie dough was a bit droopy. My baking instincts told me to put the dough in the refrigerator to allow the dough to firm up a bit and I am so glad I listened to my baking intuition or really I just used my common sense.
I left the dough in the refrigerator for about an hour, scooped the dough, roll it into a ball, and baked the cookies for approximately 10 minutes and the cookies came out seriously perfect! These are almost ready to be deemed the Best Chocolate Chip Cookie in the WORLD! In addition to chocolate chips, I also added plain Chocolate M&M’s to the cookie, which was a major win! The slight crisp that comes from the candy coating of the M&M’s along with all the chocolaty-ness makes for a perfect Soft and Chewy Christmas M&M Chocolate Chip Cookie.
If this blog post could be converted into a cooking show episode, now would be the perfect time for that M&M Santa Claus commercial to come on. You know the commercial that has been playing around this time every year. If not, I’ll play it for you below. Happy Holidays folks!
