Just what the world needs…another Chocolate Chip Cookies recipe!
Not just another Chocolate Chip Cookies Recipe
Before I justify giving you another Chocolate Chip Cookies Recipe, let me just take some time and talk about being in awe for a moment. There are many things in the world that will immediately put anyone in a state of awe. That is where you get beside yourself and become attached the beauty of the subject that has taken your breath away. For everyone that subject is different. For some it is flowers or beautiful landscaping images; for others it is going to poor countries to help children and families become more sustainable; and for others it is eating amazing food that takes you to a place of bliss. I think one thing that all of us humans have in common is the food part. There is something about eating something so delicious that turns a bad day, into an okay day; a good day, into a perfect day; or a sad day, into happy day. Do you know what I mean? I bet now you are all thinking of a particular food that makes you feel this way. One of the foods that I am sure that most of us can agree that takes us to a special place is Chocolate Chip Cookies!
What is about Chocolate Chip Cookies that makes you want to immediately eat them? Now of course you can buy the Pepperidge Farm or Soft Batch Chocolate Chip Cookies, which are my personal store bought favorites. But there is nothing, and I do believe nothing better than a homemade or bakery baked Chocolate Chip Cookie! When you bake them at home, you will get those few cookies that come out darker than the rest of the batch or you will get a few that is a bit crispy around the edges (those are my favorite). The best part is immediately dipping them in a nice cold glass of milk! COOOKIES…TAKE E AWAY!!!!I don’t care if Chocolate Chip Cookies aren’t your favorite or if your prefer something else. All cookies have this effect. Let me tell you about a recent experience where freshly baked cookies just took my breath away.
Right before my wedding, my husband and I went to a college tailgating party. Everyone brought something to munch on and the hostess brought baked cookies from a bakery here in Cincinnati called Donna’s Gourmet Cookies. I have never heard of this place before, which was absurd. Absurd because I have lived here for over 10 years and because they were so good that I actually had an attitude about how many people probably didn’t know about this place as well. When you park your car, you smell the aroma of sugar, butter, baking, and love. I mean it is heaven! I would hate to work anywhere close to that bakery. I wouldn’t even try to keep weight loss goals. I walked in to place an order and the aroma was even more potent. You could actually see the people baking in the back and everything is baked THAT DAY! When you put in an order it is made THAT DAY! These aren’t some prepacked ingredient cookies that they get from a distributer and they just add butter or water. No my friends they make these damn cookies in house. From the “roota to the toota”. Let me tell you the best part, the cookies are big as hell! I mean I couldn’t eat a whole one. I had to split it with my husband. It isn’t so much that they are big in terms of size, they are thick and big! The best of both worlds when it comes to cookies. That is how this recipe was inspired.
So I know this is another Chocolate Chip Cookies Recipe, but this is the Chocolate Chip Cookies Recipe! I packed almost 4 cups of chocolate into these cookies and added cornstarch to help them become thick like Donna’s cookies. I am not sure if this is how they make their cookies, but this is how I make mine. This recipe is just like this Chocolate Chip Cookies Recipe I made over a year ago. I just needed an excuse to tell you about Donna’s Gourmet Cookies. If you live in Cincinnati, you have to check it out! When you make these, I hope they keep you and everyone you choose to share them with in awe!
Love You!
