Aside from food that I prepare for my blog, I am a fairly healthy eater and I love this vegetarian dish. I always have wanted to cook with tofu, but it seems pretty intimidating. You have to press it, cut it, flavor it, and goodness knows what else. But I have cooked with soy crumbles and other faux meat. They all turned out pretty good. But I had an idea to make something with Seitan, which is a “wheat meat” or gluten meat product. Very high in protein and has the same consistency of meat, for those who are skeptical. No like seriously, it tastes like meat. You can pretty much use them as a beef supplement in your food. The thing is, you have to eat it while its hot so it doesn’t taste…weird. I wanted to combine seitan with a sauce that was similar to Chili’s honey chipotle sauce that is used for their chicken strips. If you never had them, you should try them. But this dish is the healthiest dish I posted so far and the spiciest. I say that as a precaution. You could add less chipotle if you are concerned about the level of spice. But it could be me. Everyone’s spice tolerance is different. I hope you like it!
