These easy toffee peanut clusters are the perfect no-bake candy for busy schedules! Made with just 4 simple ingredients—chocolate, peanuts, toffee, and candy coating—these clusters come together in under an hour and make amazing gifts for holidays, teacher appreciation, or whenever you need a foolproof homemade treat.
Why You’ll Love This Toffee Peanut Cluster Recipe
Let me tell you why these chocolate peanut clusters are about to become your go-to candy recipe:
- No baking required – Just melt, mix, and chill
- Only 4 ingredients – Seriously, that’s it
- Perfect for gift-giving – Mason jars, holiday tins, party favors, you name it
- Kid-friendly – My kids love helping make these (and eating them!)
- Make-ahead friendly – These keep for a whole month in an airtight container
Now, can we talk about my slight addiction to chocolate for a second? You know what I love most about chocolate? How thick it is and how it completely coats the inside of your mouth and you need cold milk to wash it down. Y’all know what I’m talking about. The same thing happens when you eat a warm chocolate chip cookie and your mouth is all gooey. I LOVE that effect! It brings my mouth such joy!
These toffee peanut candy clusters give you that exact same satisfaction—and honestly, I had to make my significant other take them to work so I didn’t eat the entire batch myself.
The Gift-Giving Blessing and Curse of Being a Food Blogger
You know what’s both a gift and a curse about being a food blogger? I’m not afraid to get in the kitchen to make whatever I’m craving. Chocolate clusters? Chocolate chip cookies? Muffins? I can just whip them up. But that also means I CAN make whatever I want, whenever I want. Does that make sense?
That’s exactly how these peanut toffee clusters came to life. I was craving something chocolate, didn’t feel like driving anywhere, so I raided my cupboard and WHA-LA! Easy toffee peanut clusters were born.
They started off looking like this…
And ended up looking like that…
Perfect for Every Occasion
Here’s the thing—these peanut toffee candy clusters are incredibly versatile. I’ve made them for:
- Holiday gifts (hello, cute mason jars!)
- Teacher appreciation
- Bridal and baby showers
- Thank you gifts
- Housewarming presents
- Or just because I wanted chocolate on a Tuesday
In fact, I’m totally making a batch for the holidays this year and putting them in mason jars with cute ribbons. You’re probably thinking the same thing now, right? AWESOME SAUCE!
Commonly Asked Questions
Absolutely! Milk chocolate will make these toffee peanut clusters sweeter. You can also use dark chocolate if you prefer a less sweet version. I’ve even mixed half semi-sweet and half milk chocolate for the perfect balance!
You can use Heath bar pieces, crushed butterscotch chips, or even caramel bits. Some people also like adding crushed pretzels for that sweet and salty combo!
Yes! You can skip the double-coating step if you want. Just let the chocolate-peanut-toffee mixture set completely and they’ll still be delicious. The candy coating just gives them that extra professional look and adds more chocolate (which I’m never mad about!).
Store these in an airtight container at room temperature for up to 1 month. You can also keep them in the fridge if you prefer a firmer texture, or freeze them for up to 3 months.
You can, but I highly recommend salted peanuts! The salt balances the sweetness of the chocolate and toffee perfectly. If you only have unsalted, add a pinch of sea salt to the mixture.
Make sure you’re using chocolate candy coating (almond bark or candy melts) for the outer layer, not just chocolate chips. Candy coating hardens much better at room temperature. Also, give them enough time in the fridge—at least 15 minutes per layer.
