I love triggering all of your senses with pictures and recipes like this.
I love the idea of taking something common and making it different ways. Taking the concept of Snickers, I have made Homemade Snickers Bars, 7 Layer Snicker Bars, and Snicker Pretzels. Now I am making Snicker Rice Krispie Treats. I think it’s a challenge and fun for me to discover ways to reconstruct something that people love so much. I think I just really enjoy making something new by using the blueprint of the original prototype. I sure am glad that I came up with these tasty treats.
I have experienced a dry-spell in my recipe creating lately. So much so that I’ve gotten annoyed with myself for it. I don’t make food just for the blog. I make food that I actually eat and enjoy that I really create and share with some friends and family. The food I create is what I eat for dinner, lunch, dessert, or plan on taking to a meeting or something. That is how I make sure that nothing goes bad or I don’t waste anything. However, I haven’t been doing a lot of cooking or baking lately. Mostly because I have been pretty busy, I am getting ready to move to a different part a town, and I have been, somewhat, ordered by my family physician to lose a few pounds. Not because I am overweight (I’m not at all) but because I have diabetes and heart issues that run really strong on both sides of my family and to make sure that I outlive all of them I need to start now by being a bit healthier and trim. So why do I create such recipes like this one? I know. I ask myself the same question.
I genuinely love creating recipes. Healthy or not. Food is food and it is meant to be enjoyed. Sometimes recipes come to me out of nowhere and I can’t wait to put it together to see how it comes out. It’s like art to me. Yea that’s it. Cooking and baking is my art. It’s art that you can eat and triggers all of your senses and not just one. These Snicker Rice Krispie Treats will definitely trigger all of your senses and they are so easy to make that you will want to share this masterpiece with others.
