- 2–1 lb. can baked beans
- 1 tbsp. Olive oil
- 1 lb. ground beef
- 1/3 c. yellow onions, diced
- 1/3 c. green bell pepper, diced
- 2 garlic cloves, minced
- 1/4 c. light brown sugar
- 1/2 tsp. Onion powder
- 1/2 tsp. Garlic powder
- 1/2 tsp. Smoked paprika
- 1 tbsp. Worcestershire Sauce
- 1 tbsp. Molasses
- 1 tbsp. Barbecue sauce
Instructions
- Preheat oven to 350 Degrees.
- In a medium saute pan on medium-high heat, heat the olive oil. Add the onions and green bell pepper and cook until soft about 5 minutes. Next, add the garlic and cook for an additional 3 minutes.
- Add the ground beef to the onion and pepper mixture and use a wooden spoon to break up the meat. Cook until browned and mixed into the onions and peppers. Season with salt and black pepper. Remove from heat.
- Pour the canned baked beans into an 8X11 casserole dish. Add the ground beef mixture and stir until well-mixed. Add the onion, garlic powder, smoked paprika, Worcestershire sauce, brown sugar, and molasses, and stir.
- Cover with aluminum foil, place in oven, and bake for 20-25 minutes. Remove from oven and allow to cool slightly before serving.
