Not sandwich bread, but freshly baked French Bread and butter is my weakness. Especially if there is a good soup or something to dip it into.

All you have to do is go to your favorite bakery, buy a fresh loaf of French or Italian bread (or make it), make this garlic spread recipe, and we can be happy with bread together…forever!

This sounds wonderful and I think it will be great for gift giving this holiday season. I just have one question, I see that the oregano is fresh but it doesn’t indicate fresh for the basil so I am assuming the measurement of 1 tablespoon is for dried basil, am I correct? Thanks for sharing.
Nicole Nared-Washington says
Thank you for bringing that to my attention. The basil should also be fresh.

Can’t wait to try this! How long do you think it will last in the fridge?
Nicole Nared-Washington says
Without testing, I would see, a month. It’s butter so it shud be fine.
Julia says
This looks so good!! If you can’t get the fresh oregano & basil…could you use the dried?
Thank you
Nicole Nared-Washington says
You could but it may not taste as robust as if you were to use fresh herbs.

Outstanding! Easy to make and easy to use. If I have odd bits of different cheeses, I throw them into the mix as well. Cheddar, swiss, gruyere, romano…it uses up the cheese and adds a different component to the spread. Great recipe…so glad to have found it!
