These Lucky Rice Krispie Treats are made with triple the marshmallows making them magically delicious.
I have a confession to make, I cannot make Rice Krispie Treats without eating them while they are in the pot. Yep, I take a spoon right to them. At times I burn my tongue a bit but it is totally worth it. There are a lot of treats that aren’t particularly healthy that are totally worth the calories and burned tongues like Homemade Chocolate Chip Cookies. I mean is it me or is it absolute torture to wait 5 minutes for your freshly baked Chocolate Chip Cookies to cool down enough to eat? The same torture almost resides with these Lucky Rice Krispie Treats because you have to allow them to set. Or you can be like me and burn your mouth and eat them out of the pot.
- 6 tbsp. Butter
- 10 oz. marshmallows
- 4 c. mini marshmallows
- 1 ½ c. dried marshmallows
- 6 c. Crispy Rice Cereal
- Pinch of salt
- Using a large saucepot on medium heat, melt the butter. Add the bag of marshmallows and stir until the marshmallows are completely melted. Add the pinch of salt. Stir in the Crispy Rice Cereal and stir until the marshmallows and cereal are completely combined. Remove from heat.
- Stir in the mini marshmallows but don’t continue to stir to allow the marshmallows to dissolve. Add the dried marshmallows and fold into the treats batter.
- Spray a 9X13 casserole dish with nonstick spray as well as the spatula and turn to the casserole dish and spread evenly. Allow to sit for, at least 15 minutes, and cut into squares.
