I seriously can’t believe that 2013 is over. I mean I feel that it was just a couple of months ago that I celebrated my 30th birthday. Now a new year is on the horizon and I am so excited to see what is in store this year for myself and for this blog. This year my blog has reach almost close to a million views! Can you believe it? Now I know some people get that within a day or a month. Considering the exponential growth of the blog that my blog seen this year I am very proud of that number. I have done work for Campbell’s Soup, Stone Fire Bread, Lavaa Coffee, and have been featured on countless blogs and websites and next year it is only going to get better. I have something that is so awesome, so terrific, and so much fun to think about that I am just going to throw surprise hints at you throughout the entire year. If you can solve this riddle you will know what I am working on:
“The yellow mongoose sleeps at night, but wakes in the morning”. Get it?! Didn’t think so.
I can’t thank you enough for your growing and continuing support that you have shown my blog this year. I hope to continue to create food that you will love and you can share with your friends and family. Some of the recipes will be healthy, some won’t. But life is about balance and fun and I intent to keep my blog growing with that mantra in mind. So here are some of the recipes you loved this year and I am sure that you will continue to love for years to come.
I seriously Love You,
Nicole AKA Cupcake
Brownie Dippers– This recipe comes from Carla Hall from The Chew but I just had to make them one hot summer day and share them with you. 2013 isn’t 2013 without them.
Mozzarella Stuffed Turkey Meatballs– This was my first feature on Zip List. Oh yea, I became a Zip List partner this year too. Awesome.
White Texas Sheet Cake with Fudge Frosting– This was probably my most traffic generated yet problematic post of the year. So many people made this recipe and they didn’t turn out well for them. This made me very sad and lead to me making this cake 5 times to make sure it was coming out right (which it did every time). I learned that sometimes people will try recipes and they won’t come out or they may not like it. That is okay. Just keep trucking.
Open Face Breakfast Sandwich– This recipe didn’t generate a lot of traffic, but it is definitely the most underrated recipe of the year in terms of taste. This sandwich is phenomenal! I want to make it now.
Peanut Butter Cup Martini– Ahhhhh, the best thing to drink after a long day. How awesome is this beverage?!
Peanut Butter Brownie Cheesecake- Look at the damn picture. Do I need to say anything else?
Breakfast Quesadillas– An easy, delicious, and awesome breakfast idea.
Grilled Salmon– My boyfriend, excuse me, my fiance never really cared too much for salmon until he had this.
White Chicken Chilli– I think I am making this tonight. People loved this one.
Apple Beer Cupcakes– I know Angry Orchard isn’t beer but I like the way it sounds. These were awesome!
Smores Pop– The best thing I made all summer…I think.
There are many more recipes that came out this year that makes me so excited of what is to come next year. I really hope you enjoy my blog and will continue to ride with me for years, recipes, and projects to come.
Happy New Year!
