Today I had a breakdown. My kids are probably going to be home with me AGAIN due to another Covid case (yeah we’re about to find another center). This is the real face of a woman who is losing the war between childcare, working, being herself, all in a pandemic. I actually said, dare I say it, “ I feel like this pandemic is breaking me”. I never used the term “break” when it comes to me… EVER.

. I’m exhausted and I do feel that myself and most mothers are feeling the residual effects of the pandemic. The world is moving on but we aren’t because there isn’t a solution for taking care of of your child and trying to get back to normal for yourself when you’re still forced to quarantine with them. When do we get a break? When can we get back to normal? I yelled today, “I’m exhausted!”

. Im still getting up with the baby at crazy hours.

. Calvin still find his way in our bed.
.
. Im still trying to be present and effective at my job when I often go to work running on 3 hours of sleep.
.
. And I’m running my blog business, which is currently getting shafted, because of everything else I mentioned.

. I-CAN-NOT-DO-IT-ALL!!! And I’m definitely getting to a space where my response and my energy is going to say “I could give two shits”.

. This is not a post for pity. This is post to let my faithful community of mothers and fathers know YOU ARE NOT ALONE! I’m not perfect so I don’t have the answers.

. I’m not one of those bloggers/ influencers that is going to post beautifully staged lifestyle photos of myself and my life as if it’s the shit, because it’s not. At least, not today. I’m a real person. Not trying to be IG famous here.

. I love my kids to heaven and hell and back again, but I dread being in another quarantine shut down with them if I’m being honest. I can’t be the whole mother they need because I have other obligations and to be honest I don’t want to. Having a 1 and 4 year old is awesome and fun, but not 24/7.
