Summer is the perfect season for pie! Pie desserts are perfect for summer cookouts, the 4th of July, Memorial Day, or Juneteenth! Here is a recipe round-up of some of the best summer pies on the blog ranging from no-bake pies to baked fruit pies.
I am a sucker for a good pie. The best part of any pie, for me, is the crust. Whether it is a buttery flaky homemade pie crust or a graham cracker crust pie, that is my absolute favorite part. When I am invited to a gathering throughout the summer, I am the first one to scope out the dessert table to see which pie I am going to devour.
I know during the summer people try not to be in front of the oven too often or have it on to avoid making extra heat in their homes. Fortunately, this recipe round-up of summer pies is a great collection of no-bake pies or pies that can easily be made ahead of time. Some of these recipes are considered traditional pie recipes filled with fruit such as apples, strawberries, berries, cherries, and peaches that can be topped with a scoop of vanilla ice cream. Other pies are filled with chocolate, lemon, and even ice cream! Whatever you are feeling, I am sure you will find a summer pie recipe perfect for the summer!

Tips for making delicious pies
Everyone has there own ways to make pie. Here are a few tips that I use to create the best pies.
- Make your own pie dough: Making pie dough is very easy. I prefer a buttery and flaky pie crust if the recipe calls for it. Here is a pie crust recipe I recommend.
- Use fresh fruit: Using fresh berries and fruit in your pies make a major difference. I know peeling, slicing, and pitting the pies can be a pain but if you want to make the absolute best pie, fresh is best.
- Use cornstarch if needed: There are some fruit that has enough pectin to where cornstarch isn’t necessary, but if you want your filling to be nice and thick, there is nothing wrong with making a cornstarch slurrly (equal parts cornstarch and water) and add it to the fruit mixture.

I try my best to make home cuisine. It’s at least good to be able to prepare my favorite Thai food! Great way to bring travel experiences back home with you, too.
